ps3 is the best console out there, dont let any one tell u any different. the game library is good, and its getting better. dont let any one talk you into getting a 360. it doesnt even compair to the ps3!

All i have to say is HDTV + HDMI + LBP = awsome. if you have a PS3 go out and get Little Big Planet.

Con : to expensive for those without jobs.

When you first look at the price of the playstation3 it looks to be more but it has free internet and has a wireless internet adapter already installed. This is something that Xbox360 doesnt have and the wireless internet adapter for them is $99.99 and the internet user is about $69.99 for a 12-month membership. The graphics are amazing. Blu-ray is nice because they run at about $150. So in the long run playstation3 is cheaper and the quality is better.

Dude this system is the bomb. It has more hard disc space then the xbox 360. It may cost more but it's all worth it. On the playstation 3 you can play online against people for free, the xbox 360 you have to pay. So i think the playstaion 3 is way better then the xbox 360.

this console has so much to it. I would recommend picking up a component cable from radioshack if you have all 3 systems a universal. they work great and bring the most outta the graphics . IT can go up to 1080p but mine only does 1080i cause my tv doesn't do the hdmi stuff. I do love it . I got it as a birthday present with the spiderman bluray. The graphics are incredible . Its almost like a mini computer it can play dvds, cds, cdrs ,cdrws too . Can use the media server you gotta have windows media player 11 to use that . You can watch blu rays, dvds, and all sorts of stuff. The gamingexperience is outta this world the clarity and clearness of it when hooked up to a hdtv is mindblowing. There are alotta great titles to choose from the price isn't all that bad but kinda if your on a limited fixed income just save up or try ebay if you have to like I did. I had no problems so far with mine. All I can say is this is probably one of the most powerful gaming consoles I have ever had in my hands and can see why its probably going to be the best one out here. I ain't a fangirl or into console wars. I just like each system for different reasons but its hard for this one not to be a favorite. its great get it if you don't already have it let it become your entertainment system you never had before.

The PS3 is the absolute best gaming console out. The graphics are the best, the Wii graphics are PS2 style, and the 360 are good but not like the PS3. The Blu-Ray feature is great, I've had my PS3 for 2 years hasn't failed me once. I've had my 360 for 3 years I think, and I've had to replace it twice. Sure the price is a little high but in the end isn't it worth it. Get the PlayStation 3..you wont be disappointed.

I own all consoles and this is the best one for me. I have played both halo, call of duty, and gears of war, but resistance 2, killzone 2, and medal gear solid 4 will destroy those. In racing games you have gran turismo and will be an amazing game. There is also many games for other genres like Civilization Revolution for stratagy. In online play there is playstation home and the playstation store. Both have many features and are amazing. Playstation home is a virtual world. Playstation store has everything from games to movies to even movie rentals. Most games from playstation support online play too. Resistance 2 has a 60person support. There is also a co-op will like 8-idk how many players. The story mode I think still has 2 player co-op. So that is 3 online modes for 1 game. Even medal gear solid has online play now. This is why i think ps3 is a great system.
Pro : great online play, playstation home, great graphics, blue ray, and more
Con : selection of games are still a bit low, some games are getting held back

i work at a game store and time after time i see people bringing in their broken 360's and i can't help but laugh because i know that microsoft does this on purpose they dont care about quality be quantity and seriously the wii is not for big gamers the ps3 is the best in quality in many ways i strongly advise everyone to buy one you wont regret it

This is not only a great game console but also an awesome multi-media center. Comes with harddisk, WiFi, and wireless bluetooth connected controllers and free online gaming. You can also stream audio from your PC's using the PS3 audio player. Organize you pictures, mp3's, movies and manage from one one device.

Don't get in between kids telling you which is better. There have never been so many choices for consumers before, some of this is good and some bad. Here is a review as simple and informative as I can make it.

A yellow 400$ price tag will soon feel like a nicer green price tag. You'll get
Wi-fi support from the get go
Blu Ray playback and a plethora of other formats to play (CD-R's, DVDs, cd's, etc)
Dolby Tru HD and DTS audio support
Photo, movie and music options with good space to store all that multimedia
and much more in a nice sleek machine

Does one family need all that, if you want to but I still think the Nintendo's Wii system is still the best family console, it's made for families and the young (even the old). The Playstation 3 is the system to buy if you want to play games AS WELL AS watch hd movies with it, save photos and more but if your happy with your setup and your really thinking about the games, Wii is the choice with too many games to count for the family as well as old classics from the past (super mario bros, Tetris, etc.)

These are notable games for the family on the PS3 still however: Buzz TV Quiz, Rock Band 1 and 2, Singstar, LittleBigPlanet, plenty of sports games and hot shots gold, lego star wars and other lego games. For the older kids there's much to choose from as well but there is one con among others.

There are far more mature games on the system than any other kind, shooting games have come to be big for the console as well as more violent genre games. For the best mix of videogames I do have to say the Xbox 360 is a better choice.

NOW outside family, say your just single guy or a small couple how is this playstation? The PS3 has great games available and many high profile projects coming down the pipe, shooters have become big, action, racing to smaller but addictive puzzle games. A very good and FREE online system is here and it CAN COMPETE well against Xbox’s live system. The Playstation 3 and it's online store have great layouts and interfaces, there are plenty of games worth going online with your buddies. Many hits on the Xbox are also on the playstation, THE DECIDING FACTOR is which games you want, if you want Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 well your going to get an Xbox especially if may other friends have that system, Playstation 3 still has God of War 3, Killzone 2, and many others.

Again if you have an HDTV and love movies even with a smaller TV you have to get this shiny machine, it's an awesome player, the controllers require no batteries and are all wireless, the machine produces very little fan noise and not one bit of heat can be felt on this thing, you get the feeling this thing can withstand bullets yet it still isn't all prodigy.

CONS: a few things, no HD or HDMI cables are included, you can grab great hdmi cables off Amazon for very cheap, stay away from monster products. You CANT play playstation 2 games on it as of yet.
SCEA needs to make sure or however handles this needed to grab hold of exclusive games that make the difference and hold on, this system has gotten a bad rep for trying to have everything so be prepared to see one or a few games become readily available on other systems, it happened to Grand Theft Auto 4 it can happen to others. Another flaw is how the system works, it's fantastic, a great piece of technology but every game requires an initial download period where it must be saved to your hard drive, I don't know the entire explanation I just know you may have to wait (in some cases several minutes) before you can actually begin playing. There are no included headsets which has made games annoying to play, communication is key. However the headsets that are available mainly the branded official headset by Sony (which is included if you buy the soccom bundle) is wonderful. Great add ons to the Playstation 3 but you just have to go out and get it.

BOTTOM LINES:
if your looking for a console with games for everyone in the family grab the Wii if you can, if you'd like the best mix of mature and casual games the Xbox is the choice. If you however have an HDTV and you'd like to play games along with storing multimedia the PS3 is the choice, it offers the most out of any system. The only conflict is will you want all that?
